First of all… I know that I have not posted any kind of real content in quite a while, and I’m sorry! I also would like to thank all of you that have voted for me in the Windows Brand Ambassador Contest. Your support has been greatly appreciated!
We were up to #4 (I think that was the height of it) and now we dropped back down to #8. So, head on over and vote again. Maybe leave a review if you’re feeling generous. Thanks a lot!
As you know, I follow what’s new in technology very closely and there’s been a lot of cool stuff going on since I last did a real post. I should have a few new posts (some on older news) on here in the near future, so keep an eye open for that.
The first one that I want to mention is Microsoft’s new Browser for the Better campaign.
What is that? It’s simply another place to download the new Internet Explorer 8.
Why download it there? Glad you asked! If you download IE8 from Browser for the Better instead of the main site, Microsoft will donate enough money for 8 meals. They will do this for every download from the site.
Do I really want IE8? I don’t know. I think it’s great, and it’s gotten some pretty good reviews. A lot of the new features such as web accelerators and web slices are pretty cool, but how would you know unless you checked them out for yourself?
Do I have to? Yup! Right now. You don’t want children starving to be all your fault… do you? Download it. See how it works for you. You can get it here: www.browserforthebetter.com
If you don’t like it… that’s fine! No harm, no foul. Go download something else to suit your web browsing needs.
